She was associated with the campaign to save the tigers in india for all of her life since her childhood as her parents were also convservationist. She sounds little hopeless after all those years woking for tigers in india and found that, the Political apathy and the red-tapeism in india ere the main cause behind the loss of tigers in the tiger reserves in india. Political apathy is because these wild animals don't have the right to cast their votes but the villagers living in and outskirts of the tiger reserves have and the political parties cannot annoy them by relocating them. I wonder when these foreign nationals can be so enthusiastic about our tigers then why is there an apathy from us indians.
When we can hue and cry about a certain state people being driven out of a certain state than why don't we feel a thing about these wild animal, not only being driven out of their home but from their right to live. We don't have the right to cry over the issue of indians being attacked in australia when we leave our pride, the national animal with the same kind of situation. I don't know how many people will be able to relate these two issues but I certainly do. Just because they are animals, not humans, does not prevent them from their right to live.
